Speaker Remuneration Policy:
- Any events we organise constitute our own intellectual property and speakers are respectfully acknowledged as contributors to the vision, theme and learning points of our event content.
- Unless otherwise agreed, we reserve full rights to use all speaker generated content produced at all of our events in any manner we choose to for as long as we wish to. Proceeds of said content can also be passed on to whoever we wish for as long as we wish to.
- We reserve the right to re-purpose and profit from all speaker generated content as we see fit and for as long as we see fit.
- Any payment or profit-share arrangement will be expressly communicated to you if, when and where applicable.
- For certain events, our speakers are offered a profit-share remuneration by way of referral or commission fees. This means that said speakers get a share of the profit for every sale they themselves refer or generate. In such cases, no monetary remuneration applies without said speakers promoting the event and generating referrals.
Speaker Promotional Policy:
Events in general are very labour intensive to organise but of high value. Online summits with many speakers participating are in particular very demanding to execute but simple to promote with a limitless capacity and reach. For the benefit of all, we ask our speakers to help spread the word about relevant online summits to their networks.
Pre-written email copy and affiliate links will be provided and must be used to ensure consistency of brand communication. However, speakers and promotional partners are encouraged to edit or personalise the pre-written copy slightly if needed in order to suit their own tone, style etc.
In a typical online summit, several participants (as many as 12 or more) will, in the spirit of creativity, impact and goodwill, pool their human and marketing resources together in advance of the event broadcast/s for the benefit of all. E.g. by emailing their commercial database at least 2 times in order to generate valuable exposure that all the participants will enjoy. Some participants may also contribute their expert advice or industry clout as well as their marketing/promotional efforts.
We, the organisers, invest a significant amount of time interviewing, positioning and showcasing each participant in said events. This is a very costly investment on our part and is often made in advance – whether or not the event actually generates any profit.
In light of the above, we kindly ask speakers to adhere strictly to the terms of participation spelled out to them.
Refusal to engage in the email promotional activities or attempts to promote a fewer number of times than required or to drag and delay to an extent that requires administrative intervention that adds to our burden and costs is unfair and a breach of goodwill and agreement.
Failure to use the supplied tracking link for promotions invalidates the promotional activity as it cannot be independently verified.
Participants in breach may be swiftly removed from the event or invoiced a nominal fee toward our expenditure of time and effort. We may also include the names of those who have tried to enjoy the benefits of participation without contributing fairly as agreed, in relevant leader board reports – so that other participants and event organisers can proceed with caution in their dealings with them.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation.
