Ọgọ Ọgbata is a multi-talented writer, speaker and consultant. Author of the non fiction title, ‘Creativity and Sense: How To Make a Living Doing What You Love!’, she fosters personal development and entrepreneurship by empowering people to find hidden talents, discover their purpose and create financially rewarding work that allows time and energy for what matters most in life. She also helps businesses to increase profitability by discovering, developing and maximising hidden assets and opportunities.

 

Although a creative person (poet, novelist and songwriter to mention a few), Ọgọ (pronounced 'or-gore?') holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, has worked as a Marketing Executive at a top notch Marketing Multinational company and garnered valuable experience at one of the world's leading financial organisations. She is also a Business Mentor for Business Link - University of Northampton.

 

In May 2008, Ọgọ founded The Creativity and Sense Network - The Business Network for Passionate Professionals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, fashion and gospel music. She is married to her best friend, Austin (a seasoned Solicitor who specialises in Employment Law).

Austin Ogbata (LLB Hons) is a solicitor with at least 8 years hands on experience working with individuals as well as small and large scale businesses throughout the UK. Since specialising in Employment Law at a leading commercial firm in Leicester he has coached a number of trainee lawyers, handled cases worth millions of pounds and made various successful representations at employment tribunals and county courts throughout England. Consequently he has received numerous glowing testimonials from high court judges, colleagues and clients alike.

 

A people person, Austin is well known for his empathy, compassion, humour, integrity as well as his analytical and listening skills. Throughout his student years he won countless awards including 'Outstanding Personality of the Year' at St Mary's Middle School in birthplace Northampton. He has since served on various school governing boards, acted as Public Relations Officer for the Law Society (both in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire) and as Director at the Leicester Law Center. He currently heads the Dispute Resolution department at an international law firm in Hertfordshire.

 

A believer in the ‘passion at work’ philosophy, he consults with SMEs (small to medium sized enterprises) counselling on all aspects of the employment relationship. He advises companies on cost effective ways to create a great working environment as well as recruit, train, appraise and retain staff. He provides small business owners with sound advice regarding contracts, terms and general disputes. Corporate professionals can also receive specialist coaching from him in order to learn more about their rights in the workplace, interact with confidence and propel their careers to new heights.

 

In addition to turning things around for people, Austin is strongly passionate about two things: family and music. He owns a collection in excess of 5,000 soul and jazz records/CDs. In his free time, he presents a hospital radio programme and mentors young adults within his local community.
